On January 13, 2022, an investor filed a dispute alleging that Michael McIlvoy sold shares of AT&T (T) and purchased shares of the Virtus AllianzGI Income & Growth Fund Class A (AZNAX) on November 23, 2021, without the investor’s authorization. This dispute was denied following review by the firm.
That being said, firms do not need to allow an external review before denying a dispute, and investors can still pursue FINRA arbitration after a denial.
