Travis Braulick Involved in New Annuity Dispute

On June 24, 2024, Bankers Life Securities alleged that it received a written complaint from a client alleging that Travis Braulick recommended that they purchase a Premium Bonus Index Annuity that was not in their best interest. The client allegedly purchased this annuity through the firm’s insurance affiliate, Bankers Life and Casualty Company. 

The investor is seeking $50,000. 

Bankers Life Securities discloses in its Customer Relationship Summary (Form CRS) that its representatives receive a separate commission when they sell proprietary insurance products offered through its affiliated insurance companies, which creates a conflict of interest.

Regulation Best Interest (Reg-BI) is an SEC regulation that requires brokerage firms to put their clients’ best interests first. For example, firms must conduct reasonable due diligence when researching investments to ensure their recommendations are suitable for the investor.
